Many transdisciplinary classroom activities can be planned around the Wii Idol competition to enhance numeracy and literacy skills. Students can work as small teams to plan and coodinate the activities to develop visual identity of the band as a whole and/ or individual members. Members of the team, including the teacher can take on a range of roles to create their band. Examples include:

- Using Mind Mapping software to display findings
- Produce a band logo for all communincations about the bands activities
- Produce poster of the band and members of the band including the teacher
- Practice and perform in class and gain feedback from classmates on what to improve on
- Class discussion using judging criteria to understand terms
- Peer and self (band) assessment to provide hints to improve
- Complete a profile or diary or write a story about the characters and aventures of the band
- Whole class activities - to learn and practice concepts of creativity, timing, skill, performance and teamwork. Class discussion of the importance of criteria for judging
- Record the band performance by videoing, recording and manipulating sound or photographing
- Design a theme for the bands first CD to promote the band
- Design and create costumes for the bands stage performance
